A presentation from the students on latest projects
The MA Information Design at Reading ranges broadly across media and includes design for mobile applications, printed books and other documents, and wayfinding systems, following the Department’s approach of integrating history, theory and practice.
The wayfinding project that students will be showing involves understanding how people navigate physical environments, and how they can be helped; how wayfinding interacts with other environmental factors to make a legible place; and how a wayfinding system with multiple purposes can be designed.
The students will be showing a preview of work from their final display, held in Reading from 20 June. They will talk about their experience on the project, the techniques they have used to develop their ideas, and about their wider interests. This will be an opportunity to meet an enthusiastic, international group of students who have a passion for information design and a vision for the future.
