A talk by Jason Bruges
Jason Bruges Studio, formed in April 2002, design and build interactive installations across four key sectors. These sectors include architecture, art, experiential marketing and lighting design consultancy.
The company has an in house design studio and workshop, and is based in Old Street, London, a hub of the creative and digital industry in Europe. The studio has recently expanded to include a team based in New York.
Although based in the UK and USA, the company is currently working on projects as far reaching as China, Kuwait, Qatar, Canada, France, India and obviously the UK and USA.The multi-disciplinary team has grown significantly over the past 12 months and now includes creative architects, lighting designers, electrical engineers, programmers, industrial designers and mechanical engineers.
The studio produces innovative and engaging spaces that connect people with their environment. Jason’s architectural training - he worked for Foster+Partners and Imagination - before establishing the studio, brings both environmental awareness and technical skill to the direction of all the studio’s creative projects. The teams’ passion and desire to find ground breaking creative solutions is clearly evident in the studio’s work.
The studio is currently working on many global projects including a distraction piece for Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children on their route to surgery, an interactive artwork in a shopping mall in Shenyang, China, a public artwork for a new development in Toronto, Canada, 4 Olympic Games artworks in London, a super yacht in the middle east and a playground for a children’s hospice in Kuwait.
