About us
At UCL, we’re deeply committed to diversity, equality and inclusion. Nowhere is this more important that within our Estates team. The UCL estates is the largest and most complex of any University in the UK, comprising more than 250 buildings. We want to ensure inclusivity is embedded throughout our estate – not just to the required standard, but far above and beyond.
Our Inclusive Environment team is responsible for improving the inclusive design of our buildings, thereby providing an environment which supports equal access and inclusion to UCL and its wider community. The team proactively tackles the challenges our estate brings, from small spaces and narrow doorways to lack of accessible toilets and stepped access between levels, entrances, exits and thresholds, lack of prayer space and quiet contemplation space, and much else besides.
