This talk brings together researchers and practitioners working across architecture, landscape and environmental art to explore how ephemeral architectures, shared seasonal structures and storms can become a design method, informing architecture, landscape and environmental art in a changing climate.
Through presentations on seasonal calendars, rice fields, vernacular agricultural structures, weather and storms, the symposium will explore how ancestral and seasonal knowledge, agricultural vernacular traditions and atmospheric phenomena can inform architectural and artistic practices within a changing climate.
Attendees can expect insights into current multidisciplinary research and projects across architecture, landscape and environmental art. The event will also include a collective performance with Indonesian partners and a panel discussion, with time for questions and shared conversation.
