To celebrate 160 years of printing at Smails and 40 years since National Trust for Scotland took over the care of the printworks on behalf of the nation, we are proud to present: Old New Tech: 160 years and still printing, an Anniversary Lecture by eminent print historian Dr Helen S. Williams, discussing 160 years of letterpress printing in Innerleithen, and the wider context of letterpress printing in Scotland.
