Congratulations to Astra Group who have recently received Wayfinding Scheme of the Year at The Sign Industry Awards 2026, recognising the company’s standout contribution to the transformation of Manchester Airport’s Terminal 2.

The accolade is a significant industry endorsement for the company’s two‑year programme to design, manufacture and install a comprehensive suite of traditional and digital signage across the £1.3bn terminal redevelopment. Working alongside MACE Group and BAM Construction, Astra Group delivered an integrated wayfinding system spanning the airport approach, forecourt, check‑in, departures and pier.

The scheme was praised for its clarity, cohesion and ability to support a seamless passenger journey through one of the UK’s busiest transport hubs.

Paul Dyke, Group Sales Director at Astra Group, said the award reflects the team’s commitment to creating intuitive, passenger‑centred environments: “Terminals are dynamic, high‑pressure spaces, and the most successful wayfinding solutions are those that feel effortless. Our priority was to design a system that reduces stress, improves accessibility and reinforces a strong sense of place — all while supporting the terminal’s wider commercial and operational goals.”
