The event aims to bring together stakeholders, professionals, and enthusiasts interested in exploring the intersection of heritage, learning, and digital innovation in transforming the nation’s cultural landscape through the Levelling Up agenda. Through engaging discussions and networking opportunities, participants will discover how these elements can work to elevate our cultural offerings and enhance creative and cultural co-production within communities. Speakers will include organisations from across the UK who are involved in heritage based placemaking.
The day aims to answer the following question: ‘What innovative practices are being used to transform placemaking through heritage learning?’. We will hear about how places are being transformed all over the UK by centering positive cultural learning experiences, using digital technologies and engaging with communities to enhance understanding of and engagement with museums and heritage.
This event is part of Medway Culture Fest 24 marking 40 years of culture-led transformation in Medway and the 40th anniversary of Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust.
