SignAgent, the cloud-based platform used worldwide for signage and wayfinding project and asset management, has introduced a new AI-powered translation tool, designed to simplify the creation of multilingual sign content. The feature enables users to generate translation suggestions and approve final messaging directly within the SignAgent environment, removing the need for external apps or manual copy‑and‑paste workflows.
By adding a new language to a project, users can automatically populate selected message fields with suggested translations. Each suggestion is clearly labelled as pending review, allowing teams to check accuracy and consistency before approving the final copy.
“Creating multilingual sign content is time-consuming. We’ve integrated AI translation suggestions into SignAgent to streamline the design process while keeping review and approval checks in place,” said David Jorritsma, President at SignAgent.
Developed to support both local-language needs and regulatory requirements, the tool offers several key capabilities:
- In-app review and approval: Suggested translations are flagged for verification, with options to approve individually or in bulk.
- Editable at any stage: Approved translations can still be refined or corrected as projects evolve.
- Confidence scoring: A built-in confidence indicator highlights translations that may require closer scrutiny.
- Context-aware suggestions: The AI model is tuned to signage and wayfinding terminology, improving relevance and clarity.
The new feature aims to reduce production time for multilingual signage while maintaining the accuracy and oversight required for complex environments.
