This is a presentation and discussion of Stuart Walker’s book, Design for Resilience, published summer 2023. It offers an opportunity to discuss not only how but also why we should design differently.
Stuart’s research focuses on design for sustainability; product aesthetics; and practice-based approaches that are consistent with environmental care and social equity. He employs the creative design process itself as a mode of inquiry, which honours both the core practice and creative potential of ‘designing’.
