The Communities of Making network is looking for an experienced freelance Heritage Interpreter to help develop the narrative and content for a major touring exhibition launching in 2027.

Part of Art Fund’s Going Places programme, Communities of Making brings together High Life Highland Museums, CofGâr – Carmarthenshire Museums & Arts Service, and the Irish Linen Centre & Lisburn Museum.

Working collaboratively with museum teams and young curators groups across Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, the appointed interpreter will help:

Freelance fee: £15,000, inclusive of travel and subsistence
Anticipated start / end: September 2026 to May 2027
