Design Economy is an ambitious research programme led by the Design Council, which currently is exploring the environmental and social impact of design. PDR, a design research centre at Cardiff Metropolitan University, is undertaking this phase of the study (project managed by Piotr Swiatek) on behalf of the Design Council.
As part of this study, PDR are running a series of two hour workshops to hear more from design sectors about skills and impact measurement. We thought that you, as an SDS member, would be interested in sharing your insights with PDR.
By taking part in a PDR-run workshop, you will have a chance to engage with other people with an interest in sustainable design, sharing experience and knowledge. The insights gathered will help to shape the Design Council’s approach to supporting design for planet and people, and will inform future policy for design. The workshops will be held online on 15th, 16th and 17th of May, with a focus on specific design economy sectors.
