XSIGN
Project Name: University of Wolverhampton, School of Architecture
Clients: ISG and Associated Architects
Sector: Schools, colleges and universities
Location: Wolverhampton (UK)
Role: Wayfinding service, signage design, manufacture, and installation of the signage.
The Brief: xsign were specified by ISG and Associated Architects to provide an internal and external signage scheme at the University of Wolverhampton, School of Architecture using a combination of bespoke signage design and our patented product set, helping to blend functionality with design.
The xsign Jigsaw product set allows for the easy changing of panels so that wayfinding information can be updated should the function of the building change. Just slide the panel out using the secret fixing system and add a different panel in. No tools necessary.
The patented product set and ongoing working partnership with Associated Architects made xsign a reliable partner.
Outcome: Externally, xsign provided cut letters, a totem sign to aid wayfinding and directional signage that helps users to navigate through building entrance points.
Internally, xsign provided the patented Jigsaw system that allows for the easy changing of direction panels, should room locations change. xsign also provided cut letters to provide branding to key facilities and iconography for facilities such as the toilets.
The signage helps to complement the outstanding architecture, making the University building a striking environment for learning.
